Studio Administration

Using the administration section of NuConomy, you can configure everything you need in order to best utilize the system, e.g. manage users, manage activities to track, etc. The options you see under the administration section may be different from what you see in this guide. Options change depending on the security permissions granted each user.

Select Activities

NuConomy allows you to track any number of desired activities; activities may include any on-site event, such as page views, comments, purchases or video plays. Here you can choose from a comprehensive list the activities you want to track.

To choose a predefined activity to track, simply choose it in the list on the right side and add it to your list. Each activity will be shown with a numerical ID; this is the ID you need to specify in your API code in order to track this specific activity.

Edit Activities

NuConomy also allows you to create your own activities. Here you can create and edit activities

To create an activity, click the button to add a new activity. Then, enter the activity name and a brief description. Also, each activity will be assigned a numerical ID; this is the ID you need to specify in your API code in order to track this specific activity.

Manage Segmentations

NuConomy allows you ultimate flexibility in segmenting your data. Initially, you can choose up to five different ways to segment your data (e.g. age, income, etc.) on top of the pre-defined ones like campaigns and geography. This section is where you manage the user-defined ways you will be able to segment your data.

Creating your own segmentation is very easy. First, input a name for the segmentation in the table. Then, add an appropriate tag to your integration code, segmenting the activity you wish to track.

Manage Customer

In this section, you can edit your customer name and primary contact person.

To do so, simply click the edit button and update your information. Then, when done, click the update button to save your information.

Manage Projects

In this section, you can specify projects you wish to separately track. For example, if your company has many different websites, you can create a project for each website; even if you decide to do this, you can still also view the aggregate data from all your websites.

To create a project, add a new project. Then, input the desired name, website domain name and time zone relative to GMT (e.g. EDT is GMT -5 hours; thus, you would input -5). NuConomy will then assign a project token to each project. The project token must be included on each page on which NuConomy code is included.

Manage Content Types

It is important to be able to track which types of content resonate with your users. To provide those insights, NuConomy allows you to specify different content types (e.g. “video”, “article”, “product”).

To create a content type, add a new content type. Then, enter the name of the content type (e.g. “video”). Also, each content type will be assigned a numerical ID; this is the ID you need to specify in your API code in order to track this specific activity.

Manage Users

In this section, you can edit the specifics of a user, including username, email address and password.

To add a new user, click the corresponding button. Then, input data into the following fields:

  • Username – the username should be the work email address of the user
  • Email address – same as username
  • Password – choose a password for this user; passwords should be alphanumeric
  • Security preferences – choose the projects and roles (e.g. administrator or user) for this user

Edit User

In this section, you can edit your own account, including email address and password.

To change your user name or password, simply click the edit button, make the desired changes and click save.

Invite a User

In this section, you can invite other users to view your analytics in NuConomy.

To do so, enter the user’s email address, assigning the rights you wish to grant this user – (1) user or (2) administrator. Then, simply send the invitation.
